Block Party is a community app. That puts Events, clubs, activities, news, and civics in one app. We source from 150+ places — the city, businesses, schools, social media, and news outlets, plus posts from users — then curate a feed built around you. There’s always a lot going on, but it’s scattered across so many sources. Block Party bridges that gap.

Hey, I’m Jesse 👋
I’m a high schooler at ROCORI. I’ve lived in St. Joseph my entire life, worked at Krewe, and volunteered at the Co-op. This community is filled with great people who make St. Joseph as desirable as it is.
Block Party creates a new way to find out about your town. More than 250 things happen in any given month in St. Joe — think game nights, run clubs, and family events — and the average resident is informed about almost none of them. This isn’t a lack of information; it’s a lack of informing. Block Party solves that while making sure the information you get is the information you’re interested in. Doing that helps engage the public to feel more involved in the community — that’s Block Party’s main purpose.
Right now I want the app built around what people want, so I’m collecting feedback on what to focus on. There’s a Google Form linked on the website, and every response helps. I’m anticipating an early spring 2027 launch on the App Store.
Thanks in advance!Jesse Johnson
